COVID-19 STATEMENT 17 June 2020
Our premises were closed on 23rd March as per Scottish Government instructions. We are missing our customers and our trainees, and look forward to welcoming you back once we are permitted to do so. When we move to Phase 2 and it is confirmed that non-essential shops can open, we will gradually resume our services. This will be on a phased basis, from July (at earliest). We plan to open our Yarns & Crafts shop in Buckie for a few mornings per week. Wool orders can be made through the MRO Yarns & Crafts Facebook page, by sending a private message. Any customer Embroidery orders will be fulfilled by MRO Embroidery staff in Elgin, behind closed doors. The shop will remain closed. Orders will be picked up by arrangement. Our staff will be wearing masks to protect you and we ask that you wear a mask to protect us. Disposable single use masks will be provided at our doors, should you not have your own mask. Hand sanitizer will also be at each door, and we ask that you sanitize your hands on entry and exit. Safe distancing will be observed, follow any one way systems in place. Staff and Volunteers will be on hand to guide you. This is also in preparation for our adults with learning disabilities to be able to return to as safe an environment as we can offer them. Our hours will be subject to change. MRO Recycling is picking up recycling from customers on a fortnightly basis. Please let us know if you have re-opened and require a collection. Follow us on Facebook for regular updates to our services. This statement will also be updated regularly. Many thanks for your patience and collaboration, during these times. ...
Shona Radojkovic - will get the rest of my donations into bags. Are you going in at any time? If not I’ll see if I can get over to Buckie. What about crafting stuff? Should I hold onto that for now?
Sent you a pm about the gloves I’ve knitted
Got a wee box we have been putting things in
Hope you’re surviving the lockdown.
Just a wee note about our pull on baby hat pattern.
Some people are getting a bit confused regarding finishing, so just to clarify this I have added a wee note below.
Join cast on and cast off edges together, wrong side out and sew together (seam).
Turn hat up the other way and thread wool through one of the open ends, pull up and tie off (crown).
Put right side out and turn up brim.
If you look at the photograph that will help.
Hope we won’t be too long before we’re up and running again.
Take care everyone and keep knitting! 🧶😎 ...

We hope to start crochet workshops at some point in the future, in addition to our Knit & Natter groups. It may be a while but it’s lovely to hear how much people enjoy the experience of crafting with others. Thank you for the photos Alison. ...
