COVID-19 STATEMENT 17 June 2020
Our premises were closed on 23rd March as per Scottish Government instructions. We are missing our customers and our trainees, and look forward to welcoming you back once we are permitted to do so. When we move to Phase 2 and it is confirmed that non-essential shops can open, we will gradually resume our services. This will be on a phased basis, from July (at earliest). We plan to open our Yarns & Crafts shop in Buckie for a few mornings per week. Wool orders can be made through the MRO Yarns & Crafts Facebook page, by sending a private message. Any customer Embroidery orders will be fulfilled by MRO Embroidery staff in Elgin, behind closed doors. The shop will remain closed. Orders will be picked up by arrangement. Our staff will be wearing masks to protect you and we ask that you wear a mask to protect us. Disposable single use masks will be provided at our doors, should you not have your own mask. Hand sanitizer will also be at each door, and we ask that you sanitize your hands on entry and exit. Safe distancing will be observed, follow any one way systems in place. Staff and Volunteers will be on hand to guide you. This is also in preparation for our adults with learning disabilities to be able to return to as safe an environment as we can offer them. Our hours will be subject to change. MRO Recycling is picking up recycling from customers on a fortnightly basis. Please let us know if you have re-opened and require a collection. Follow us on Facebook for regular updates to our services. This statement will also be updated regularly. Many thanks for your patience and collaboration, during these times. ...
A wee message to all our customers and trainees. Shirley and her team are all furloughed, and very much missing our lovely customers and trainees. We do wonder how you all are. Why not post a photo of your lovely embroidered logo, with a wee note of when you hope to get back to the ‘new normal’. And for those who have worked through this, your logo and an update on how your service is operating in these difficult times. We would love to hear from you. From our side, we will keep you updated on here, once we know when our service can resume. Meanwhile, keep well and stay safe. ...
Scottish Government guidance today is for all shops, who are not providing food or medication, to close. It’s with much regret, that we are closing our doors to the public at 23 East Church Street, Buckie and 15 High Street, Elgin (the Yarns & Crafts, Thrift Shop and Embroidery & Fine Gifts shops).
Our Embroidery shop will close at 4 p.m. today.
Our lovely staff have offered to work behind closed doors, to keep the embroidery service going. ALL existing orders will be completed by tomorrow, and can be collected by arrangement - social distancing to be strictly observed! Our staff will be in touch with you about collection.
Any future orders can be sent to email@example.com and we will respond. The shop is closed to the public, so please do not come to or phone the shop. ...
