Minutes of the 2023 Moray Reach Out Annual General Meeting
Held on 31st January 2024 at 23 East Church Street, Buckie.
In Attendance:
MRO Board Members: Fiona McKenzie (Chairperson), John Rose, Alan MacDonald (Treasurer), Alison Mair
MRO Staff: Karen Vernon, Gemma Morrison, Megan Fairley
Volunteer/Members: Susan Blake, Lynda Scott, Agnes Parkes, Angela Kelly
1. Welcome & Apologies:
Fiona welcomed all those in attendance and gave a special thank you to the staff, volunteers and trainees for all their hard work over the previous twelve months. She also thanked Lorna and Kenny Gray for their continued support.
Apologies were received from Board members; Ian Robertson, Kim Fraser, and Wullie Mair. Members; Eilean MacDonald, Margaret Smith and Margaret Tuckerman.

2. Minutes of the last AGM and Trustees Report and Accounts
Fiona spoke about the Trustees Report and quoted some of the Team Leaders’ comments on the work of the Trainees.
Alan spoke about the finances and reiterated how well MRO was doing considering the economic situation we were all experiencing.
All present, had copies of the minutes from the last meeting and the Trustee Report and Accounts for the year ending 31st March 2023. It was agreed that unless anyone had any questions these would be assumed ratified.
3. To confirm the Auditors:
Similarly, Ritsons would be re-elected as Accountants for 2023/24.
4. Election of Directors to the Board of Moray Reach Out:
Kim Fraser and Fiona Mackenzie both resigned at the AGM. This meant that Ian Robertson, who was standing for re-election, was no longer required to do so.
In Shona’s absence, Gemma Morrison thanked both Kim and Fiona, on her behalf for their help and support and said that they would be missed.
5. To transact any other ordinary business of the company previously notified.
Angela Kelly said that the Disco’s were struggling for volunteers and asked if we could publicise this. Lynda Scott said that she could help at the Buckie discos and Karen Vernon agreed to share these dates with her. Megan Fairley also said that she would put something out on social media.
The meeting was closed.
