Moray Reach Out held our Trainee Award Ceremony at the Buckie Baptist Church Hall on Friday 18th. This has been our first awards since the beginning of COVID-19 and it was a resounding success with staff, volunteers and trainees having a fantastic time.
Every trainee was awarded a certificate for their individual achievements that were recognised by their team leaders throughout the year and those who could not attend will receive their certificates whilst at their projects.

A wonderful and dedicated staff member, Shirley Nicoll, who is retiring this December after 15 years with MRO was thanked for her years of commitment by John Rose on behalf of all of the Board Members, staff and volunteers. We will miss her dearly but know that she will not be a stranger.
We would also like to thank Kenny and Lorna Gray from Grays Recycling for being our guests of honour at the event and handing out the certificates to each of our trainees. They were gifted with a bird table and feeders from our amazing upcycling team, led by Jon Reeves.
A wee note from Shona Radojkovic:
“Thank you to all who came along to the Trainee Awards Evening, it was a very special evening for them and that is down to each one of you who came along and supported, and to the work leading up to the evening.
I’m especially grateful and proud to have seen such amazing teamwork on the night, preparing the room and tables, the fantastic kitchen team (you know who you are) and to all those who stayed behind to help clear up quickly and efficiently. A massive thank you from me and on behalf of all the trainees – they had a brilliant time.”
