At Moray Reach Out, we are constantly amazed by the kindness and generosity of our community. Today, we’re delighted to share a wonderful example of that spirit in action.
We want to say an enormous thank you to NFU Mutual, Inverness & Elgin for their incredibly generous donation of £7,899. This support means the world to us and to the adults with disabilities we work alongside every day.
Today, we had the pleasure of visiting NFU Mutual’s Elgin office to thank them in person. Shona Radojkovic, Ian Robertson and Megan Fairley from our team enjoyed a lovely conversation with Rhona Scott, Lucy Little, Sarah Scott, and the honorary team member, Purdy the dog, who made the visit extra special!

Where WILL THE DONATION go?
We’re thrilled to share that NFU Mutual’s donation will go directly towards our MRO Sponsorship Fund, which supports life-enhancing opportunities and training for adults with disabilities.
This generous funding will help us provide tailored, hands-on opportunities through our unique social enterprises – from recycling and woodwork to embroidery, creative arts, and retail. These placements do more than teach skills; they build confidence, promote well-being, and give individuals a genuine sense of purpose and belonging.
Thanks to NFU Mutual’s support, more people will have the chance to:
- Build confidence and self-esteem
- Develop practical skills for life and work
- Feel valued and included in their community
- Take steps towards greater independence
This donation ensures we can continue offering high-quality, personalised training in a nurturing and inclusive environment – and that no one misses out simply because funding is limited.
NFU Mutual’s community giving
Explaining how their giving works, the team said:
“Annually, our Head Office allocates an amount to each agency, and we then decide where it will be gifted. We have a large area to cover and like to ensure the funds are distributed equally. This changes year to year, as we support a range of local causes. We’ve previously distributed funds to very different and diverse projects – from assisting people with dementia and special needs children to supporting CLAN and many others.”
