✨ MRO Embroidery at Hampden Park! ✨

MRO Embroidery was invited to a regional event in Glasgow on the 22nd April, with Anna and Katie attending to represent Moray Reach Out. The event took place at Hampden Park, Scotland’s National Stadium - an incredible venue to experience! ⚽

The day was centred around creativity, connections, and commercial inspiration, bringing together garment decorators and resellers from across the sector. They had the opportunity to connect with the expert team at PenCarrie and explore a wide range of products from different garment brands 👕

Seeing new and trending styles up close provided great insight and inspiration, with exciting potential for future collaborations ahead 🙌💛

A big thank you to Shona Radojkovic, Tomo, and their granddaughter Adrijana (age 9) for all their hard work! The garden rockery is now complete, and a great start has been made on the weeding 👏

The garden is really starting to come together, and it’s fantastic to see people getting involved 💛

We’re always looking for more gardening volunteers, so if you’d like to lend a hand, please get in touch - we’d love to have you! 🌱

What a pleasure it was to welcome John Gallon yesterday for a visit and tour of Moray Reach Out. He volunteers with People First as a Development Worker and also works as a rapporteur for the Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities. 💛

John and Shona first met around 14 years ago at Cantraybridge College, where Shona was delivering a life skills course to adults with learning disabilities. It was great for them to reconnect and reflect on how things have grown since then.

During the visit, they had some really positive discussions about ways we can collaborate to benefit MRO and the organisations John is connected with. And although they only had time to visit our Buckie sites, John has said that he will definitely be coming back! Exciting opportunities ahead! 🙌

If you’d like to hear more about John’s journey, you can watch his story here:

Shona and Tomo were hard at work in the MRO Garden, focusing on the rockery as part of Phase 3 - the lower section of the garden. It’s great to see this area really starting to take shape! 👏

This project is proudly supported by Just Transition Participatory Budget Funding, helping us continue to grow and develop our outdoor space 🌿

Next up, we’ve got veggies and herbs ready to be planted in our planters, and we’re looking forward to getting our trainees involved in this part! 🥕🌿

Take a look at the progress so far 👀💛
