We are excited to announce Waste Watchers next Thrift Shop! As a recycling centre we deal with more than aluminium and plastic. Household items, clothes, shoes, books and everything in between have been donated to our facility. These items are given to us by our family, friends and Moray Reach Out supporters!
Once the items come to us, our trainees sort and store them at our units in Buckie until the next Thrift Shop! A lot of preparation is required from booking the hall to setting up and asking volunteers to work our three day event!
The trainees say that some of their favourite parts of the Thrift Shop include: getting to dress up instead of wearing their usual boiler suits to come to work, being able to learn new skills in retail and raising money for Moray Reach Out. Everyone also agreed that they love getting out to meet the public!
All proceeds from our Thrift Shops goes back into our charity, Moray Reach Out. The money is then used to create more training and work opportunities for vulnerable adults across Moray! Our next Thrift Shop will run from April 19th – 21st at Buckie Episcopal Church Hall!
So come down to take advantage of some great bargains, say hello to our trainees and help raise money for a great cause!
